The beauty of the outdoor landscapes and hillsides, the water, the crisp clean air, and our glacier soil, are the foundations for life in Geneva and Ontario County. Along with the influences of Finger Lakes wineries (the highest concentration of them surround Seneca Lake), they promote a "rural chic" lifestyle here. We are "connected" to regular Fine Arts and entertainment at local performing arts centers and Rochester may be the most underrated city in the country for its Arts. Community theatre and regular festivals, water and outdoor recreation and the influences of Hobart & William Smith Colleges and Cornell University, are on the periphery of living here.
In Geneva, we're "country club" mixed with hiking trails. We're PhDs and farmers. We're wine connoisseurs and horseback riders. We're boaters, and we snow ski. We attend the philharmonic and NASCAR races. We are just as likely to go kayaking as we are to go to the Strong Children's Museum in Rochester for the day – perhaps the best for kids in the world. Top stars and Broadway shows come to the Finger Lakes to the Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) in Canandaigua, and the Smith Opera House hosts nationally known entertainers. Combined with our Bristol Community Theatre, the Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center (an outdoor amphitheater on the campus of Finger Lakes Community College), Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Rochester's offerings and almost a dozen annual festivals, even discerning Arts lovers can't fit everything on their schedules. We even have a Film Festival. Local organizations such as Geneva's Historical Society offer unique programs which also dot our evening calendars. Wine & Cheese gatherings are ubiquitous in our area as part of social events sponsored by Geneva organizations.

Travel/Airports
Envious family and friends can fly in to visit you via Rochester or Buffalo-Niagara International Airports.
